Love Your Neighbourhood Week

Monday to Friday, 10-5, 26-30th April 2010 we are joining with several agencies to run a ‘Love Your Neighbourhood’ week in Brackenwood. We will have a gazebo up for the week and have a stand there. Agencies such as the Library, Wirral Partnership Homes, Voluntary Services, Health Workers, Play Rangers and the Police will all be there offering services directly to people during that week. We’re also hoping to find residents who are prepared to help each other on an ongoing basis. If you feel you can help out in any way, or would like to know more, please contact me. Thanks!!

Good Friday

11am Good Friday morning Higher Bebington Churches are doing a dramatic presentation of the passion story on the car park of the British Legion, bottom of Village Road. We need help with budding actors. Please let me know if you’re prepared to help. Thanks.

Word of the Week … Sanctification

What is sanctification? It’s derived from the Latin word ‘Sanctificare’ sancti=holy; ficare=to be made.  To be made holy.  Or set apart for holy use.  Want to know a little more? …Sanctification … still want to know more?  Why not email me your question … dave.johno@jirehchurch.org.uk

Here’s a couple of books I’d recommend on this subject … and many other subjects too!! :-)

Thursday Evenings 6-9

Please note everyone; the church will be used on a Thursday evening for the next few months. A friend of Jess’s called Beth will be using the church for drama classes with 15-18 year olds for the next 10-12 weeks. If anyone’s interested, she may be able to offer places.  Please let me know if you’re interested – she’s defo up for jireh yp to get involved.  this is what she says about it …

“Creations is a new theatre company dedicated to devsing new work and expanding creativity in 16-18 year olds.
Are you 15-18 and want to create some new and interesting theatre? This project is for you! As a group you will be in charge of this project, you will make the decisions and create the whole performance!”

Word of the Week … Church

What is church?  Is it even right to ask, “what is church?”  Should it be, “who is church?”

Word of the Week … Salvation

It led the enquirer to ask more of what salvation means to the individual…
